In dialogue with the European Commission, some of the main challenges in the field were identified and discussed.

The protection of personal data, being a long-term concern for the Catholic Church, COMECE is doing its best to develop the tools necessary for a continued cooperation and exchange among data protection experts from the member Bishops’ Conferences.

This meeting provided possible proper elements to answer the consultation of stakeholders expected from the European Commission on GDPR in June 2019.

On May 2018 COMECE updated its communication tools and practices to put them in line with the GDPR. Users interested in following COMECE activities are invited to register to our newsletter.
