In view of the June 2020 Eastern Partnership Summit, the EU presented a new set of long-term policy objectives for the relations with its six Eastern neighbours. COMECE commends the prioritisation of people-centred resilience in the new proposal.

As COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact Europe and the world, presidents of theCommission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE)and theConference of European Churches (CEC)have issued a joint call stressing the importance of unity, calling all Churches, communities and political leaders“to show our commitment to European values”.
