"Each generation has to earn and consolidate freedom and peace for its own time. Our generation is no exception" states the preparation committee for the "Catholic Social Days for Europe" in a Manifesto published today.
Congress participants send the following message to the European Union heads of state and government, to the President of the European Parliament, and to the President of the European Commission, who will meet on 25 March 2007 in a formal meeting of the European Council to commemorate the same event.
Some 400 participants from all over Europe will attend. During the meeting, Christians will identify their own key values and confirm those values which have defined the European unification process from its beginning.
