STATEMENT | European Bishops pray for peace in Ukraine and throughout the world

19/03 - In the context of the 3rd edition of the European Catholic Social Days, European Bishops prayed for peace, in Ukraine, and throughout the world. "With a broken heart - reads a statement signed by the Presidents of COMECE, CCEE, and Slovak Bishops' Conference - we listen to the voices of those who suffer from the madness of war, whose tragic consequences are before our eyes. At the same time, we are touched by the solidarity of a large number of families and individuals who offer shelter and assistance to those in need of protection." The Bishops appealed to national and European institutions to adequately support these efforts.

24/03 - H.Em.Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, President of COMECE, received a delegation of faith and community leaders from Latin America. In the context of the growing EU awareness about the negative impact of corporate activities on our human family and Common Home, COMECE CIDSE and Iglesias y Minería organised the hybrid event "But let justice roll-on like a river", a conversation with decision-makers, faith leaders and activities on preventing and remedying the negative impact of corporate activities on people and the planet.

EVENT | Is the EU as a community of shared legal principles in a crisis?

29/03 - "Each EU Member States must be heard, the boundary that should not be crossed is the rule of law. The federal order of continental dimension is designed to respect different values", stated European Parliament General Secretary Klaus Welle in the context of the webinar on the future of the EU as a community of shared legal principles, which was organised by German Bishops' Conference, the European office of KAS, and COMECE.
