SYNOD | Cardinal Hollerich participates in the Continental Assembly of the Synod in Europe

10/02 - H.Em. Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich SJ, President of COMECE, participated in the Continental Assembly of the Synod in Europe, held in Prague (Czech Republic) on 5-12 February 2023 by CCEE and the Czech Bishops' Conference. In an interview with Vatican News, the Cardinal commented the work of the European Synodal Assembly, expressing his satisfaction: "The Holy Spirit works in time and we must hear his call".

Thousands Dead After Earthquake Hits Turkey And Syria
06/02 - On behalf of the EU Bishops, COMECE General Secretary Fr. Manuel Barrios Prieto expressed full solidarity to the people affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. "We pray in a special way for Turkey and Syrian for the dead, the injured and all persons affected by the earthquake. May the Lord grant eternal life to the deceased, strength to the injured and consolation to the afflicted", stated Fr. Barrios Prieto.
