28/11 - Bishop Anton Jamnik presided over the autumn meeting of our Commission on Ethics. The event featured fruitful discussions on pressing ethical issues with EU relevance, including Artificial Intelligence, SoHo, end-of-life care, and the protection of life.

YOUTH | COMECE Youth Net's autumn meeting focuses on family and demography policies in the EU

20/11 - The COMECE Youth Net met online for its Autumn session to address the main challenges and good practices related to the area of family policies and demography in the EU Member States. Delegated youth members from the EU Bishops’ Conferences gathered to discuss the recently published demography toolbox of the European Commission and the main challenges encountered by families in Europe.
The discussion featured the participation of the member of Dubravka Šuica’s Cabinet Toma Šutić, FAFCE General Secretary Nicola Speranza and Project Manager Maria Waszkiewicz
Topics ranged from digitalisation and gender pay gap to work-life balance and intergenerational solidarity. Members also exchanged internally on their views and perspectives on family in view the annual contribution to be published in 2024.

HERITAGE | COMECE Commission on Culture and Education discusses AI-education relations and heritage in Europe

3/11 - Chaired by Bishop Janusz Stepnowski, our Commission on Culture and Education met online to discuss issues related to Artificial Intelligence and education, the ongoing review of the European Education Area, and the priorities of the Spanish EU Presidency for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage in Europe.

COMECE supports the integrity and full implementation of the freedom of thought, conscience, and religion.

YOUTH | COMECE presents its youth activities during a KAICIID dialogue forum on social inclusion

15/11 - Our adviser Emilio Dogliani has recently participated in the 5th European Policy Dialogue Forum (EPDF) on “Young People and Social Inclusion in Cities” held in Rotterdam by the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID). He presented the activities of COMECE in the field of youth empowerment.

The President of COMECE, H.E. Mgr. Mariano Crociata, as well as the General Secretary Fr. Manuel Barrios Prieto and two advisers (José Luis Bazán and Marek Mišák) will participate in the XXV Annual Meeting of the EPP Group on Intercultural Dialogue to take place in Santiago (Spain).
