08/04 - The Presidents of COMECE and CEC, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich SJ and Rev. Kristian Krieger, issued a special Easter message from the Polish-Ukrainian border on Friday 8 April 2022, invoking prayer and action for peace in Ukraine and beyond. “Let us continue to pray and work for justice, reconciliation and peace between people, cultures, nations.”

VISIT | 2nd edition of the theological-ethical Colloquium on the Common Foreign and Security Policy

08/04 - COMECE hosted the 2nd edition of the theological-ethical Colloquium on the Common Foreign and Security Policy. Coordinated by the Hamburg Institute for Theology and Peace, this project brings together doctoral students of Catholic Theology and Social Ethics from institutes based in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Ukraine. The Colloquium included exchanges with Members of the European Parliament, the EEAS and a visit to the EU Military Staff. The focus of the discussions was the ethical dimension of EU Security and Defence Policy in the light of the on-going war in Ukraine.

24/03 - H.Em.Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, President of COMECE, received a delegation of faith and community leaders from Latin America. In the context of the growing EU awareness about the negative impact of corporate activities on our human family and Common Home, COMECE CIDSE and Iglesias y Minería organised the hybrid event "But let justice roll-on like a river", a conversation with decision-makers, faith leaders and activities on preventing and remedying the negative impact of corporate activities on people and the planet.
