08/02 - In a statement released on Tuesday 8 February 2022, the Presidency of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) expresses its deep concern on President Macron’s proposal of including a supposed right to abortion in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

NEWS | COMECE Legal Affairs Commission

18/02 - Bishops' Conferences' legal experts and EU representatives participated in the 2-day meeting of our Legal Affairs Commission, presided by H.E. Mgr. Theodorus C.M. Hoogenboom. The meeting focused on GDPR, non-profit organisations, family law, EU accession to the ECHR and tackling #HateSpeech. The next meeting of the Commission will take place on 29-30 September 2022.

18/02 - The Catholic University of Avila (UCAV), in collaboration with the Pontifical Urbaniana University and the Institute for Advanced Studies on Women of the Pontifical University Regina Apostolorum, is promoting an international inter-university congress on female doctors of the Church and patrons of Europe.
