Johannes Moravitz

Johannes is originally from Vienna (Austria) and has been working at the COMECE Secretariat since 2022, seconded by the Austrian Bishops’ Conference.

In 2016 he obtained his master’s degree in History from the University of Vienna and gained political experience from working in the Austrian Parliament. He had also been lecturing on European History at the Hochschule Heiligenkreuz before moving to Brussels.

He is married to Franziska and has two small children. Apart from politics and history, he is very interested in philosophy and literature, and passionate about rugby and chess.

He speaks German, English, some Italian and is working on his French.
