COMECE invites you to participate in the launch event of the documentary Canillitas to be held in Brussels on Monday, 9 October, 2023 from 16:00 to 17:30 (CET). Watch the trailer | Register now
The documentary narrates the daily problems and aspirations of six child workers in the Dominican Republic who dream of leaving behind their work and becoming good professionals.
The film sheds light on the issue of child labour in the Dominican Republic while showcasing the efforts of the Salesian Missionaries in supporting these children as they strive ato achieve their dreams.
Following the screening of the documentary, we will hear testimonies from one of the child protagonists and individuals responsible for the Canillitas program.
The event is jointly organised by Don Bosco International, Misiones Salesiana and COMECE. It will be hosted at the Secretariat of COMECE – Square de Meeus 19, B-1050 Bruxelles) – on Monday, 9 October 2023 from 16:00 to 17:30 (CET).
Please note that the event will be conducted in Spanish with on-site English translation available, and the documentary will feature English subtitles. Registration is now open!
