The volume Cristianesimo, coscienza dell’Europa explores a fundamental question: what kind of Christian consciousness can inspire and sustain Europe today, amid a continent searching for direction and a world marked by conflict and uncertainty?
Among its contributions is a reflection by Mgr Mariano Crociata, President of COMECE, on the future of the Churches in the future of Europe. His contribution offers an analysis of the relationship between peace, democracy and the human person, placing the human being at the heart of what it means to be European.
The annual volume brings together reflections by leading historians, theologians, philosophers, political scientists and journalists on the current international disorder, the challenges facing Christianity and the prospects for Europe. Contributors include Andrea Graziosi, Anna Foa, Olivier Roy, Massimo Borghesi, Daniele Menozzi, Romano Prodi and Gianfranco Brunelli.
