Barnabás was born in Budapest, Hungary. He studied International Studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Hungary), and later completed a master’s in Development Policy and Programme Management at the Ludovika National University of Public Service (Hungary).
He is currently specialising in Circular Economy Management at Edutus University (Hungary), while preparing his master’s thesis on cross-border initiatives and the challenges arising from the amendment of the Schengen Borders Code for publication.
He has been engaged in humanitarian and development work, including volunteering in France, in wartime Ukraine, and in Hungary with children from disadvantaged families, as well as undertaking an internship at the Hungary Helps Agency.
He also studied Politics and Economics at Ankara University as part of the Erasmus exchange programme. In his free time, he sings in a chamber choir and enjoys exploring cultural heritage through travel.
He speaks English and German, and is learning French.
