Mohos Gábor was born on 11 September 1973 in Budapest, Hungary. He was ordained a priest on 19 June 1999. He studied theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University receiving a licentiate in moral theology from the Alfonsianum.
From 2003 to 2008 he was Secretary of Cardinal Péter Erdö, then General Secretary of the Hungarian Bishops’ Conference from 2008 to 2018. Since his consecration as Bishop on 8 December 2018, Gábor Mohos has been Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese Esztergom-Budapest and Titular Bishop of Iliturgi.
Since June 2022, Mgr. Mohos is the Bishop Delegate of the Hungarian Bishops’ Conferences to COMECE.
