COMECE invites you to the presentation of “Beginning with Many. Horizons of Fraternal Thought”

The Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) invites you to the presentation of the book Beginning with the Many. Horizons of Fraternal Thought, to take place on Monday 27 March 2023 in Rome, with the participation of Cardinal Hollerich, Mgr. Paglia, Mgr. Sequeri and economist Prof. Mazzucato.

The book includes theological contributions on some of the most crucial challenges of our era, with a focus on the synodal process, “a space extraneous to any claiming logic: where fraternal custom drives out mistrustful fear and no one takes on the role of exclusive guardian of the common cause”, writes H.E. Mgr. Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, in the introduction of the book.

Published by Libreria Editrice Vaticana, the book is part of the project “Salvare la Fraternitá – Insieme” started in 2021 with the call Rescuing Fraternity Together by the Pontifical Academy for Life.

Together with Mgr. Paglia, the event will also feature the participation of H.Em. Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich SJ, General Relator of the 2021-2024 Synod on Synodality, H.E. Mgr. Pierangelo Sequeri, who edited the book, and internationally recognised economist Prof. Mariana Mazzucato. The presentation will be moderated by journalist Andrea Monda, director of L’Osservatore Romano.

The event is public and will take place on Monday 27 March 2023 at 16.45 (CET) in Palazzo Pio, Piazza Pia 3, Rome. The organisers are: Pontifical Academy for Life, COMECE, Libreria Editrice Vaticana, L’Osservatore Romano, Pontificio Instituto Teologico ‘Giovanni Paolo II’. Click here for more info
