Iga was born in Białystok, Poland, and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She earned her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, where she wrote an honors thesis on EU asylum policy’s impact on asylum seekers, refugees and civilians alike. During that time she also completed a minor in International Law and Relations at Hanze University in Groningen, the Netherlands.

She has also undertaken postgraduate studies at the University of Antwerp, pursuing a Master of Laws, and is currently continuing this degree through the University of London, with a focus on Human Rights Law.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Iga enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, ranging from creative to active interests, and is always looking for new ways to develop her skills and broaden her horizons.

She is a native speaker of both English and Polish, and has studied Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese. Most recently, she has been working on improving her Dutch.
