Marina Paula Oliveira

Marina comes from Brazil and she is currently doing an internship at the Secretariat of COMECE October 2022, following the External Action of the EU.

She is a human rights and nature defender and has participated in international conferences in several countries.

She obtained her BA and master' degree in International Relations at the Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) and, in the context of the Erasmus programme, studied at the University of Porto (Portugal) and at the Catholic University of Lyon (France). Furthermore, she has done an internship at UNESCO in Moscow (Russia).

She previously worked for Caritas Brazil and for the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte (Brazil) implementing social projects and advocating for communities impacted by multinationals from the mining and agribusiness sector. She has also worked supporting indigenous communities in the region of Amazon.

She speaks Portuguese, English, French and some Spanish.
