Synod on Youth continues: a socio-political reading

In October 2018, on the occasion of the “Synod on Youth, Faith and Vocational Discernment”, Pope Francis urged youth and Church representatives to discuss the involvement of young people in society.

Rather than working for the youth, Pope Francis highlighted, it is necessary to work with the youth, allowing them to fully realise their talents and aspirations in their local communities, and to empower them at all levels of social, economic and political life.

In view of the 2019 EU elections, COMECE and Don Bosco International organise a lunch debate to analyse this process from a socio-political perspective.

This event will take place at the COMECE Secretariat on 11 April 2019 from 12h30 to 14h30, with the participation of Church leaders – including Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich, S.J., President of COMECE – youth representatives and EU policy makers.

The event is public upon registration. The registration is open until 9 April 2019, at 18h00.
