During the autumn Assembly of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), held in Brussels from 14 to 16 October, the bishops sent the following telegram to the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. Most Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, As bishops of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), gathered in Brussels for our autumn Assembly, we wish to convey to you our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery following your surgery. We have followed the news of these past days with deep concern and prayer. We will continue to accompany you with our prayers to the Lord of Life, confident that you will soon resume, with renewed energy and enthusiasm, your precious mission at the helm of the Church.
