Webinar | Is the EU as a community of shared legal principles in a crisis? Prospects for democracy and cohesion in Europe

29 March 2022 - 19:00 - 20:30 -

The process of European integration is often described as a history of crises. At the same time, however, the EU is a unique project for peace and democracy, based on jointly established and consistently observed law. In recent years, this framework has been increasingly called into question and appears less amenable to consensus.

Is the EU in crisis? What is the validity of European values and democratic principles? Which path will European integration take in the coming years? What can political and social forces do to promote cohesion in Europe?

These and other questions are currently discussed at the “Conference on the Future of Europe”. Following on from this, the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the German Bishops’ Conference and the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), invite you to participate in the webinar “Is the EU as a community of shared legal principles in a crisis? Prospects for democracy and cohesion in Europe” on Tuesday 29 March 2022 from 19:00 to 20:30 (CET).
