The European Year of Cultural Heritage is a very positive initiative for Europe and it could represent an opportunity for the Church to valorise its heritage and to ensure a better visibility and a greater accessibility to the religious patrimony for the public.

In a time of division and uncertainty within the European Union, the European year of cultural heritage could enhance the sense of community among European nations and peoples.

The conference will bring together high-level speakers, including Mr. Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and S.E. Mons Paul Tighe, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Culture.
