An ecumenical service was held at the Holy Trinity Evangelical-Augsburg Parish in Warsaw following the debate. The President of COMECE, Mgr Mariano Crociata, highlighted the importance of joint ecumenical efforts in addressing the many challenges Europe is currently facing. “Economic, health, and climate crises are now accompanied by devastating wars and a broader crisis of values, whose effects are increasingly witnessing in Europe and across the world,” stated Mgr Crociata.

Mgr. Mariano Crociata evoked the recent joint ecumenical declaration calling on European leaders to renew their commitment to key values — notably unity and solidarity — which can offer a reliable foundation for addressing the changes and challenges we face.

On Monday, 7 April 2025, the ecumenical COMECE-CEC delegation is scheduled to meet with Adam Szłapka, Poland’s Minister for European Affairs.
