The Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) cordially invites you to an online multilingual press conference to unveil the results of the ‘Living Laudato Si’ in Europe’ survey. This groundbreaking initiative, conducted by the European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA), explores how values are being integrated across Europe. The Living Laudato Si’ in Europe survey was conducted by ELSiA in collaboration with seven Catholic universities. It encompasses data from various episcopal conferences and over 280 projects, providing a comprehensive overview of Laudato Si’ initiatives across Europe.

Coinciding with Laudato Si Week 2024, the press conference will serve as a platform to debut the survey’s key findings and conclusions for the first time.

It will bring together a diverse group, including bishops, diocesan Laudato Si’ delegates, university representatives, members of congregations, and Europeans committed to advancing Laudato Si’s vision in Europe.

The event will focus on two primary objectives:

  • Presentation of survey results: Unveiling the key findings and conclusions of the Living Laudato Si in Europe survey;
  • Showcasing inspiring initiatives: Highlighting some of the most inspiring practices and projects identified by the survey.

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) aims to adapt the comprehensive approach of the Encyclical Letter Laudato Si’ and related Church teachings to a European context with a special focus on the institutions of the European Union. Comprising various Catholic actors, ELSiA counts COMECE among its founding members.

The online press conference will be held in multiple languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish.
